Welcome to “Iced Coffee Conversations: The Different by Design Podcast.”
Have you ever found yourself in a one-sided relationship? In a one-sided friendship? Have you ever thought that your relationship with someone was more than what they thought it was? Have you ever considered someone bestie, later to find they only considered you cool? Even worse, they don’t claim you at all?
According to Matthew 7:21-23, some of us could find ourselves in the same position with God.
Key verses: “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ -Matthew 7:21-23 NLT.

In this video, I share my testimony of renouncing membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I initially renounced in February 2008; However, I was unaware that just being inactive or not being financial was not enough. I had to completely sever ties and break the spiritual covenant I made. This process included sending a letter to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and removing all items (directly or indirectly) associated with the organization from my home. The Holy Spirit recently showed me that not completing these steps legally left the door of my life open to Satan and his devices. I share this testimony in gratitude of God keeping me in my ignorance and loving me enough to give me a second chance to make things right with Him. Bible verses referenced in this video: Acts 17:30-31 Matthew 5:33-37 Matthew 12:43-45 James 5:12 James 4:4-10 Acts 17: 16, 22-32 I Corinthians 10:21-24
“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.” -Acts 17:30-31 NLT.

In this video, I discuss the importance of meditating on Scripture and developing an arsenal of go to Bible verses to help us through difficult seasons.
“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.” II Corinthians 10:4-6 NLT.
In today’s “Iced Coffee Conversation,” we discuss the importance of loving others AS MUCH AS you LOVE YOURSELF. How are you doing with loving yourself? You’d be surprised to see how much your answer affects your love for God and others.
‘Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ‘-Matthew 22:37-40.
