Today marks the first day of an amazing journey.
Why?
I decided to take a major leap of faith to run hard after my purpose. It has taken months to get to this point. Months of trying to discern, “Is this God, or is this me?” It couldn’t be clearer that it is the perfect time to take a chance.
To take a chance on God.
To take a chance on me.
So many thoughts and emotions flooded my mind after hitting the send button on that email. Two of the best feelings were peace and freedom. My days as a time clock slave will officially come to a close in exactly two weeks.
Well, more like two weeks and a day, lol.
No more feeling like I had to downplay, or apologize for being who God created me to be (video coming soon). No more feeling like I would have to take on another persona and act completely out of character to continue to coexist in toxicity. Overall, knowing I am abandoning the comforts of a steady paycheck to fully embrace God’s call on my life is everything!
Knowing your purpose is great.
That feeling of knowing you aren’t really living in purpose?
Uh, yeah. Not so great.
For this reason, I choose to live in purpose.
I also chose to get cute and wander the City. As you can see, I ended up in Old Navy (my second happy place!) I was really feeling my look today.
Consider this post a “Dressing Room Confidential” of sorts, lol.
